Nigerian talented alternative singer Joan Ekpai is back on the scene and are we happy to see her! After spending most of the last few months working in close doors with maverick producer Cobhams Asuquo, Joan is now an accomplished sound engineer and capable mixing engineer.
Composing the Nigerian Idol winner’s song for Mercy Chinwo and peening upcoming songs on Timi Dakolo’s upcoming album are some of the things that have kept Joan busy.The one-time top finalist at the inaugural West African Idols is here with her new single titled ‘Lighters up’… On ‘Lighters up’, Joan belts out some of the most inspiring lyrics on a techno-laced instrumental.
With lyrics like “Make that dream in your hand become wild/take that seed in your hand, make it ripe”, Joan surely inspires with this number.
